Award-Winning Volunteer Program Returns to Concordia

You walk into a room full of objects representing memories a crystal vase purchased in France during a 20th wedding anniversary trip, a mahogany marble-top dresser handed down two generations, a painting created by a granddaughter for her senior project in art school, the floral-patterned curtains that match the quilted comforter so perfectly and much more. Each picture and item depicts a different life event or something that holds value.

Another great weekend for Camp Erin Pittsburgh

This past weekend, well over 100 kids and teenagers spent a few days at YMCA Camp Kon-O-Kwee Spencer, participating in all the fun, traditional, high-energy activities one expects at a summer camp. This camp, however, also included grief education, peer bonding and emotional support.

Providence Pharmacy Celebrates 10 Years of Service

On January 13, 2003, Providence Pharmacy received its license to dispense medications to Concordia residents. Back then, Concordia partnered with Lutheran Affiliated Services (currently Lutheran Senior Life) to form Providence Pharmacy and located it on the Cabot campus.

Concordia Expands into Ohio

Today, Concordia Lutheran Ministries acquired Sumner on Ridgewood, a continuing care retirement community located in the Akron, Ohio suburb of Copley. Now called Concordia at Sumner, the facility was built in 2003 on 64 acres and consists of 22 villas, 79 apartments, 40 assisted living beds and 48 skilled nursing beds.
