Concordia to Host Dementia Caregiver Workshop for Community

Cabot, PA – Concordia Lutheran Ministries’ Adult Day Services will host a community workshop for caregivers of those living with dementia on May 18 in the Lund Care Center board room at the Cabot campus.

The workshop will last from 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. and has a $20 registration fee that includes lunch. The session is designed for non-professional caregivers.

The objective of the workshop is to provide caregivers the opportunity to learn communication and interaction techniques with those living with memory impairments, as well as to enhance skills for improving quality time with loved ones who have been placed in a facility. Additionally, the session will give caregivers the opportunity to brainstorm and receive support from other caregivers.
