for Lifelong Learning this winter. In an effort to help seniors

May 15 – 5th Annual Fashion Show: “Strawberry Splash”
Butler Country Club
Created in 2006 as a fundraiser for the Lund Care Center
Expansion Project, the first and second Concordia Fashion
Show was a
sell-out. The funds this year will go to the Good Samaritan Endowment Fund. Held at the Butler Country Club, the luncheon
features more than 30 auction baskets and Fashions by Phyllis,
a clothing designer local to the Western PA region who provides

June 15 – Legacy Society Appreciation Luncheon
Pittsburgh Field Club
The Annual Appreciation Luncheon for members of Concordia Lutheran Ministries Legacy Society is held at the Pittsburgh Field Club in Fox Chapel and hosted by Concordia’s President and CEO, Keith E. Frndak and his division directors, as well as Concordia’s board of directors. The event honors individuals who make estate or other charitable gifts supporting the work of Concordia Lutheran Ministries.
July 19* – 7th Annual Golf Outing
Pittsburgh National Golf Club
The Annual Concordia Lutheran Ministries Golf Outing is scheduled at Pittsburgh National Golf Club, the former Deer Run Golf Club, in Gibsonia. The Golf Outing includes a gift for all golfers, lunch at the turn, golf on a premiere par 72 championship golf course, followed by a dinner reception.
Proceeds benefit Concordia’s charity care fund – the Good Samaritan Endowment Fund. Sponsorship opportunities are available at various levels including the individual golfer at $135. Click here to view sponsorship packet.

July 25 – 129th Annual Festival
Concordia at Cabot Campus
Scheduled “under the tents” behind the Lund Care Center on the last Sunday in July from noon until 6 p.m., the traditional Festival features a worship service of thanksgiving at 3 p.m., a mass choir of members of our congregations, Haven residents, and Pittsburgh Lutheran Chorus members, a special menu based on the year’s theme and entertainment for all ages. This event has been held annually since Concordia’s establishment more than 125 years ago. This year we are pleased to host Dr. Dale A. Meyer, President of Concordia Seminary, as our featured speaker.
August 12-14 – Camp Good Sam
YMCA Camp Kon-O-Kwee Spencer
Good Samaritan Hospice hosts this overnight camp for children and
adolescents to help them cope with the loss of a loved one. This bereavement camp is specially
designed for that age group, with goals aimed to build trust, enhance positive self-esteem, and strengthen coping skills. The campers are paired with specially trained volunteers throughout the camp. September 25 – Good Samaritan Hospice Annual 5K Run/Walk
North Park Boat House
Good Samaritan Hospice will host its 9th annual run/walk this year. All proceeds benefit Good Samaritan's special program of care to community residents facing a life-limiting illness. Good Samaritan Hospice currently serves Allegheny, Armstrong, Butler, Beaver and notrthern Westmoreland counties. The event features an opening prayer service, post race party, participant placement awards, door prizes and entertainment throughout the day. Click here to download a registration form.

October 2 – Annual Oktoberfest
Concordia at Cabot Campus
Concordia Lutheran Ministries Cabot campus is transformed into a site for fun, food, friends and family the first Saturday in October each year to enjoy the traditional German Oktoberfest. The day features a special German menu, musical entertainment, hayrides, a petting zoo/pony rides, and games and entertainment for all ages. This tradition found its way to Concordia more than 20 years ago due to the heritage of so many of our residents.
Alzheimer's / Dementia Support Group Meetings
Adult Day Services (Lund Care Center, Cabot Campus)
These meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month in the Adult Day Services programming area in the Lund Care Center. The meetings are free and open to all caregivers of individuals living with Alzheimer's or dementia. Adult care will be available during the meeting.
