Motivated by Christ and His Gospel to act in mercy and compassion toward those in need, the Concordia Lutheran Ministries Foundation is pleased to invite you to submit an application for a grant from our Angel Tear Ministries Fund. Concordia believes that we should direct our God-given blessings and provisions to support the work of Christians already proclaiming the Gospel and show God’s love to a person through acts of loving kindness.
The goal of this special grant is to assist the efforts of Lutheran Church Missouri Synod Churches in helping communities to transition toward the stage of clean up, rebuilding and repair efforts. A grant request may not exceed the amount of $15,000.
- Grants will only be extended to faith-based organizations. Preference will be given to those organizations requesting grant assistance for projects regarding service to children, the poor or malnourished, the underserved or underrepresented, the elderly, and/or the unchurched.
- The statement of purpose (goal) should clearly relate to a demonstrated need and at the conclusion of the project, achievement of the stated project should be demonstrable.
- Concordia’s first priority is to assist those seeking to help the greater community at large, rather than a specific individual or family.
- Funds will be awarded as available. Expect a response from Concordia within two weeks of your submission date.
Thank you in advance for your prayerful reflection and work to better God’s kingdom. For questions or concerns regarding this application or the Angel Tear Ministries Fund, please contact Concordia Development Manager Larissa Yates at 724-352-1571, ext. 8363 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
