Over 150 residents, staff and community members came to the Concordia at Cabot campus to watch 22 dogs strut their stuff on the… catwalk. There were four categories and a panel of four resident judges: Cordelia Y., Ray S., Eileen S. and Harriet S. With the volume of cuteness present that evening, it wasn’t easy, but the experts were able to choose the winners:
Most Friendly: Bailey, a Maltese Yorkie mix owned by Jaime, a friend of Concordia
Best Groomed: Pixie, a Maltese Yorkie mix owned by Tiffany Steiner (who works in PC Activities)
Most Obedient: Missy, a Foxhound owned by the daughter of SNF resident Larry S.
Best Performer: Leo, a Lab Pit Boxer mix owned by the son of PC resident Joyce B.
Two other dogs were recognized for their outstanding volunteer work at Concordia at Cabot:
Zoe: a Hound mix from Animal Friends
Ike: a Bull Mastiff owned by Karen H.
Special thanks to everyone who attended and our special guest judges! Enjoy the pictures below (click to enlarge and see full picture) and feel free to leave a comment!
For many seniors, one major reason for considering a move to a Personal Care or Assisted Living community is to be around others who have similar interests and make a new network of friends. All of Concordia's Personal Care locations offer a full schedule of activities for our residents to enjoy, if they choose to do so.
