Over 170 golfers participated in this year’s outing – and more than $115,000 was raised to support one of the most important and historic pieces of Concordia’s mission, the Good Samaritan Endowment Fund. This fund underwrites confidential charitable care for residents and patients who have limited or exhausted financial means.
SEI Investments once again served as Signature Sponsor for the event, and Mike Kelly from SEI was on hand as a guest of honor. Our winning team was the foursome from Gallagher Benefits Services – congrats, guys!
Representatives from Providence Pharmacy finished second and the group from Intelligent Electronic Systems, LLC and Navigator Group Purchasing placed third in our event.
Our skill contest winners:
Closest to the Pin: Jay Shaffer (Orchard #3), Mark Martin (Orchard #9), John Sherid (Grove #2), Jerry Sefton (Lakes #6) and Jim Stapleton (Lakes #2).
Longest Drive: Beth Wichrowski (Orchard #1- women’s), Mike Sherid (Orchard #1 – men’s), Josh Phillips (Grove #6) and Jim Beggs (Lakes #9).
Longest Putt Made: CJ Heidenreich (Orchard #7), Don Lupyan (Grove #9) and Jim Beggs (Lakes #1).
Along with SEI, thank you to all of our sponsors and supporters – the event would not have been such a success without you! Finally, a special thanks is due to all members of the Concordia Golf Committee, whose efforts helped attract our largest group of sponsors, including 21 new or upgraded sponsors. The Committee has worked hard since January and the impact on the Good Samaritan Endowment Fund was well received!
