2013 Oktoberfest the Largest in Concordia History

October 8, 2013

It's official: The 2013 Concordia Oktoberfest was unquestionably the biggest Oktoberfest in our history! Approximately 1,800 people walked through the front doors of Concordia Haven 1 to enjoy some excellent music from the Continental Dukes German Band, some amazing German fare from the Concordia food service staff and a plethora of activities for the kids including a bouncy castle, petting zoo, pony rides, crafts, games, hayrides and more!

Oh, and we can't forget that incredible Zambelli Fireworks display!

If you were there, you saw firsthand the sheer number of guests (about 350 of whom were kids) with smiles on their faces and they were everywhere. If you missed it, we hope to see you next year. :)

Thank you to everyone residents, families and community members who came out: you're the reason we do this event. Thank you to all the staff and volunteers (nearly 70 volunteers!) from the Concordia family for your hard work and dedication: you're the reason we CAN do this event.

Below are some pictures for your enjoyment. Take a look and leave a comment if you like! Don't forget the Good Samaritan Hospice 5k fundraiser is Saturday, Oct. 12 at the North Park Boathouse, and there are still plenty of spots available!
