2015 Concordia at Cabot Oktoberfest a Blast | Photos

Another Oktoberfest is in the books at Concordia, and as usual, it was another one to remember. If you were one of the 1,200 people who braved the “iffy” weather – which, for the record, it didn’t rain a drop during the event – then thank you!

We made a couple changes this year that went over really well. We still had all the fun activities of past years at the Kids Fest (bouncy house, pony rides, face painting, pumpkin painting, balloon artist and more), but we moved it to the Concordia Ball Field to give them more room to run around.

Another change was having a new band provide the live entertainment – and they did not disappoint! The Mikey Dee Polka Band had people singing and clapping along, doing the chicken dance and having a blast.

A few things that didn’t change:

  • The food was amazing
  • The volunteers were outstanding
  • The fireworks were awesome
  • The beer was flowing
  • Our church partners sold out of all baked goods and noodles
  • It was a packed house

Below are some pictures from the event (click a photo to enlarge), and we have a few more over on our Facebook Page! So check them out, leave a comment and mark your calendars for Oct. 1 for next year’s Oktoberfest. Oh, and if you haven’t already, go register for the Good Samaritan Hospice 5K fundraiser that is this weekend!
