2015 Concordia Live Nativity a Success | Photos

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

The Concordia Live Nativity was once again a great event this year. With so many people coming and going, it’s difficult to get a good count of how many people stopped by – but we certainly were never bored (it was around 400)! Below is a slideshow with a BUNCH of photos from the event.

Special thanks to our cast:

  • Mary: Emily Bitting
  • Joseph: Nate Poeppel
  • Wise Men: Brian Llewellyn, Eric Peat, Scott Koskoski
  • Shepherds/Shepherdesses: Cindy Perri, Liam Bailie, Brett Rouda, Kate Dreyer, Colleen Dreyer, Ian Llewellyn, Aden Llewellyn, Jaxon Llewellyn, Ava Lauer
  • Angels: Larissa Yates, Elsa Mauritz, Sarah Williams, Bella Bailie, Donna Heintz
  • Villagers: Chantelle Sweeney, Shannon Green, Tammy Young, Aleah Young, Vicki Duttry
  • Narrator: Sam Oesterling
  • Animals: We don’t know their names, but the camel, sheep, donkey and other animals from Living Treasures were a pretty big hit as well!

And also, special thanks  to our outstanding musical entertainment: St. Luke Lutheran School, Grades 2, 3 and 4; Bill Champion, Haven III resident; Roland Rankin, Haven I resident; Nativity Choir; Sam Scott, Maintenance Staff; and Roberta Breninghouse’s Community Choir.

And if you didn’t know, our residents have a role in pretty much every aspect of this event. They served as greeters, played hand bells, recorded music, played piano, sang, narrated, decorated and even helped promote the event. Speaking of which, did you see the Concordia bus full of residents in the Saxonburg Light-Up Parade?
