Happy first day of summer! For many of us, this time of year goes hand in hand with summer camps - the great outdoors, bonfires, new friends... great memories.
As some of you might know, one of our bereavement camps was held this past weekend. Camp Erin, which is a collaboration between The Moyer Foundation and Good Samaritan Hospice, a mission of Concordia, served about 40 teenagers who have lost a loved one.
The camp coupled fun, recreational activities and crafts with grief education and emotional support. Below are a few pictures from the weekend and here are links to a very cool video and news article done by the Beaver County Times (who were wonderful for coming out!).
Don't forget, Camp Good SAM for kids ages 6 - 12 will be held Aug. 18-20. For more information, camp applications, sponsorship or volunteer opportunities, call Good Samaritan Hospice Volunteer Coordinator Anna Olszewski at 1.800.720.2557, e-mail here or visit Good Samaritan Hospice online.
