The event, which was part of Copley, Ohio’s bi-centennial celebration, began with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, tours of the expansion and then continued throughout the day with community events.
Three delicious food-trucks (Tot Dogs, K’ Delicia Brazilian Gourmet and Deceivin’ Vegan), entertainment from Josh the Juggler, Musical Memories Big Band, Duane Carlson, Max Grossenbacher, Terry Ellis and Duane Carlson, a tent filled with carnival games and sweet treats, a bounce-house, guest character princesses, face painting and local community vendors all made for a great celebration. More than 100 people were on hand to experience the campus’s beautiful new apartments and amenities. Special thanks to the staff and volunteers who helped make the event possible!
The new Garden Apartments East building is a three-story, 105,000 square foot expansion, adding 65 retirement living apartments. Each of the spacious one bedroom, two bedroom and two bedroom corner apartments features an open concept floor plan with fully applianced kitchen and laundry room. Residents of the expansion also have access to the first-class amenities that are standard at Concordia at Sumner, including the Terrace Room restaurant, fitness center, swimming pool, golf simulator, needle nook, craft room, game room, library, beautiful common areas and more.
