Concordia’s newest retirement living community, Highpointe at Rebecca, is celebrating its first anniversary the weekend of September 21.
On September 21, current residents will host a discussion titled “Unexpected Benefits of Concordia Retirement Living” from 3-4 p.m., followed by happy hour with entertainment from the Rich Zabinski Trio until 5 p.m.
Our First Community Day will take place on Sunday, September 23 from 1-3 p.m. Bring the whole family! Enjoy the River City Brass in our expansive main courtyard. Face painting, a caricature artist and more will be available for the kids.

Educational Sessions and Project Overviews of Concordia at Sumner’s retirement living expansion will be held on Friday, September 21 and Saturday, September 22 from 9:30-11 a.m. and 1:30-3 p.m. in the Great Hall on the campus at 970 Sumner Parkway in Copley.
Titled “Finding Value in Retirement Living,” Concordia experts with longtime experience in the field will unpack the many benefits of retirement community living, as well as provide an update on construction and general overview of the expansion project. Early pricing incentives, apartment selection and customization in the new three-story, 105,000 square foot building will also be discussed. Cocktails, refreshments and entertainment will be provided after the seminar.

Informational Sessions on Concordia Village of Tampa (formerly John Knox Village) will be held on Sunday, September 23 from 2:30 - 4 p.m.; Monday, September 24 from 10:30 a.m. - noon and 1 - 2:30 p.m.; Sunday, October 14 from 2:30 - 4 p.m.; and Monday, October 15 from 10:30 a.m. - noon and 1 - 2:30 p.m. All sessions will be in the Crystal Dining Room on the campus.
Concordia experts with longtime experience in the field will unpack the many benefits of the Concordia brand of worry-free living. We will also provide details about our special introductory pricing and why Concordia Village of Tampa offers the best financial security package in the region. Tours of the beautiful campus, refreshments and valet parking will be available.

Annual Concordia Oktoberfest

Concordia at Cabot
The annual Concordia Oktoberfest features fun for the entire family from 4 – 8 p.m.! Admission is free. For children 12 and under, there will be free food vouchers, a balloon artist, games, crafts, hayrides, pumpkin painting, face painting, a bounce house and more. The Mikey Dee Polka Band will play throughout the evening until our spectacular Pyrotecnico Fireworks display at 7:45 p.m. There will also be a rummage sale, tours of Concordia Haven Apartments and Lund Care Center and a baked goods/homemade noodles sale to benefit a number of area Lutheran churches.
Our chefs have prepared a German-themed menu featuring Bavarian pork roast, kielbasa/kraut, bratwurst, sauerbraten, Bavarian pretzels, apple cider and MUCH more (including Sam Adams Octoberfest and commemorative Concordia Oktoberfest mugs). Concordia Visiting Nurses will be on hand to offer a Flu Shot and Blood Pressure Clinic

An Oktoberfest Celebration and Open House will be held on Saturday, October 13 from 1 – 3 p.m. at Highpointe at Rebecca, Concordia’s newest retirement community.
The Mikey Dee Band will be entertaining in the courtyard and refreshments will be served. Valet parking is available as well. The event is free and open to the community.
Guests can view three model apartments – one bedroom, two bedroom and large two bedroom – as well as all of the indoor common areas including the dining room, bistro, café, lounges, chapel, bar, library, community room and exercise room.

Concordia at Sumner is holding a free Oktoberfest celebration/open house on Friday, October 19 from 2-6 p.m. at the Manor House.
The event will feature a German food buffet, German band, prizes, beer and more. From 2-4 p.m., guests will tour the buildings, learn about the retirement community and participate in a presentation about our 65-unit expansion project that is currently underway. From 4-6 p.m., guests who were present for the presentation will enjoy live entertainment and the German buffet dinner.

Camp Erin Purse Gala 2018

The Lexus Club at PNC Park
The Fifth Annual Camp Erin Purse Gala, presented by New York Life, is a fundraiser for Camp Erin Pittsburgh (a ministry of Good Samaritan Hospice), a weekend bereavement camp for children who have lost a loved one.
Tickets are $75 for regular admission and $100 for V.I.P. admission. The event features upscale food and drinks, 20+ designer bags, a silent auction and more. Complimentary parking is included in Red Lot 6, thanks to ALCO Parking. Tickets and sponsorship opportunities still available!
