The health and well-being of our patients, residents and team members is our number one priority. Despite many of the counties in which we operate beginning to re-open, per the Departments of Health, Concordia is still operating under a no visitation policy, except for patients/residents in end-of-life situations. However, those wishing to see their loved ones can schedule time with them at one of our safe visitation areas. Please call your loved one's facility for more information. Dedication of Concordia at Rebecca Residence Chapel Scheduled at 10th Anniversary Celebration

Good Samaritan Hospice 5K: It's Special

In a county with thousands of nonprofit organizations, Pittsburgh has its fair share of 5k fundraisers. Some are big, some are small; some have big prizes, some are just for fun; some are for serious runners, some are for walk/joggers? But amidst all the 5k fundraisers in the area, there's something just a little different about Good Samaritan Hospice's memorial run/walk. Something unique, intangible, that's hard to define.

2013 Oktoberfest the Largest in Concordia History

It's official: The 2013 Concordia Oktoberfest was unquestionably the biggest Oktoberfest in our history! Approximately 1,800 people walked through the front doors of Concordia Haven 1 to enjoy some excellent music from the Continental Dukes German Band, some amazing German fare from the Concordia food service staff and a plethora of activities for the kids including a bouncy castle, petting zoo, pony rides, crafts, games, hayrides and more!

Concordia 13th Annual "Dog Days of Summer" Dog Show a Blast

10th Annual Concordia Golf Outing Raises Around $75K

Last Monday, July 9 was the 10th Annual Concordia Lutheran Ministries Golf Outing, which was held at the exclusive Treesdale Golf and Country Club. Although final figures aren't in yet, it looks like the event raised between $70 - $75,000! Proceeds went to the Good Samaritan Endowment Fund, Concordia's charitable care fund for residents who can no longer pay for the full cost of care.

Another great weekend for Camp Erin Pittsburgh

This past weekend, well over 100 kids and teenagers spent a few days at YMCA Camp Kon-O-Kwee Spencer, participating in all the fun, traditional, high-energy activities one expects at a summer camp. This camp, however, also included grief education, peer bonding and emotional support.
