Happy Independence Day from Concordia! (2018)

From the entire Concordia Family, Happy Independence Day! July 4 is such an important day in our history, as we all know. This year marks America’s 242nd anniversary of independence from the British, when the 13 colonies declared themselves a new nation: The United States of America. This is truly a day to be thankful for the freedoms that we are blessed to enjoy in this great country.

Of course, we all know the best way to celebrate this anniversary is with the 4 Fs: fireworks, food, friends and family! In this video, residents from our Cranberry, Wexford, Franklin Park, Rebecca, Highpointe and Monroeville locations shared what Independence Day means to them, and how they’ve enjoyed celebrating the holiday in their lives.

This Independence Day, we hope you have the chance to spend time celebrating our freedom the best way you know how, just like our residents. If you have a favorite Fourth of July memory you’d like to share, leave a comment below or on our Facebook page!

If you or a loved one is considering a move to a retirement community or personal care community, or you are in need of short-term inpatient rehabilitation, in-home health care or any other senior care service, we hope you will consider Concordia. E-mail us through our Contact page or call our administrative headquarters at 724-352-1571 to see what might be the best fit for your situation.
