My Concordia Career: Bethanye McClelland’s Story

The Concordia Team is comprised of many talented and compassionate employees who have graciously served our mission in a variety of ways – and we are excited for you to meet these fantastic individuals. Let us introduce you to Bethanye McClelland!

Bethanye is a Licensed Practical Nurse for Concordia of Fox Chapel and has been with our organization since September of 2010. Bethanye has held many roles over her time at Concordia as she worked her way through nursing school. She began her career as an Aide and also filled in as a concierge, cook, dishwasher, and housekeeper.

Bethanye said the first word that comes to mind when she thinks about Concordia is “family.”

“I love working so closely with people in a loving environment – it really makes the workplace feel like a home!”

Bethanye’s favorite memories of Concordia involve our residents and their families, along with her co-workers:

“Between the residents, families, and staff, I have met so many new friends and wonderful people! One of my favorite memories is last year’s Christmas party. And I enjoy that many of the residents have taken an interest in me and my family, they have been excited to meet my kids – I enjoy seeing them interact together, it is very heartwarming.”

In her free time, Bethanye enjoys her time away from work with family and friends. She also stays busy by fishing and pursuing her hobby of photography. A secret talent not known to many is that Bethany is a violinist!

When we asked Bethanye what motivates her to succeed, she replied with the following:

“I enjoy helping those in need. I plan to continue pursing higher education so that I can grow as a professional and be a better help to others.
