The health and well-being of our patients, residents and team members is our number one priority. Despite many of the counties in which we operate beginning to re-open, per the Departments of Health, Concordia is still operating under a no visitation policy, except for patients/residents in end-of-life situations. However, those wishing to see their loved ones can schedule time with them at one of our safe visitation areas. Please call your loved one's facility for more information. My Concordia Career: Crystal Cooper’s Story

July 2, 2020

The Concordia Team is comprised of many talented and compassionate employees who have graciously served our mission in a variety of ways – and we are excited for you to meet these fantastic individuals. Let us introduce you to Crystal Cooper!

CrystalCooper1Crystal joined the Concordia family as a Resident Aide at Concordia at Rebecca Residence in December of 2008. She later transitioned into the role of Med Tech and accepted a Mentor position where she supports, trains and educates new Concordia team members.

Crystal describes Concordia as “caring” and attributes teamwork to creating a compassionate and caring environment to those she serves.

“My co-workers are great! We work together day in and day out to build strong relationships with our residents and their family members. One of the greatest feelings is seeing my residents laugh and smile.”

She continued, “I want some of the last memories our residents experience to be good! I really enjoy showing them photos of my children and sharing stories with them. There’s no greater joy than brightening someone else’s day.”

Crystal told us chooses to work for Concordia because of our mission to give the highest quality of care, our amazing residents, and also because of our organization’s positive impact on local communities.

Her favorite memories over her nearly 12-year career are of co-workers and residents, all who have become part of her Concordia family.

“Some of the girls [co-workers] who I met early on have turned out to be some of my very best friends. I also have enjoyed the many bonds I’ve formed with our residents.”

Crystal spends her time outside of Concordia with her family. They love camping in Erie and Cook Forest State Park and attending sporting events – “my kids are active in soccer, football, and baseball!”

She cites her children, Charity and Blake, as her motivation to succeed!

We’d love to hear your future story! Find your next career by visiting www.concordiacareers.org.
