My Concordia Career: Jane Macefe’s Story

The Concordia Team is comprised of many talented and compassionate employees who have graciously served our mission in a variety of ways – and we are excited for you to meet these fantastic individuals. Let us introduce you to Jane Macefe!

Jane joined the Concordia family in July of 2011 as a Nursing Assistant for Concordia at Cabot. She had previously held a Medical Technician certification and become recertified in an effort to learn more about her career when she joined the Concordia team. She now holds the dual role of Med Tech/Nursing Assistant, which she loves the opportunity to perform both roles.

“It’s an absolute blessing that I am able to bounce around and help wherever I’m needed most.”

She described Concordia as “kind” and told us why she chooses to work for our organization.

“I choose to work for Concordia because it is a family-oriented and spiritually involved organization. The work environment is caring and compassionate, and they offer appealing benefits. Concordia has given me the opportunities to be able to work with people and provide care for the elderly, all while learning something new each day.”

She continued, “I appreciate that they offer education advancement to widen your knowledge on your career path. Concordia helped me develop my healthcare career by giving me a chance to learn more about my job through training and other avenues they offer.”

Jane told us how important it is for her to care for her residents and how they positively impact her career.

“My favorite Concordia memory so far is working with good people and also taking care of my residents and being able to learn about them and connect with them. I best serve my residents by giving them the care that they deserve and to make them feel like family by showing them love and respect.”

Jane told us her family, friends, coworkers, and the opportunities Concordia continually provides are all major factors to her motivation and success.

Outside of work, you’re likely to find Jane spending time with her family, friends, and also herself.

“I like going on road trips and sightseeing with my family, and going on jogs with some friends. I also like to spend quite a bit of time with myself to rest and rejuvenate.”
