Jessica joined the Concordia family in January of 2016 as a Transitional Nurse Liaison for Concordia Visiting Nurses’ (CVN) southwestern Pennsylvania service area. In May of 2018, she transitioned into the South Palliative Care Manager role and was promoted to South Branch Manager in 2019.
Jessica describes Concordia as a “team” and told us why she chooses to work for our organization.
“From the top to the bottom, I believe Concordia functions as a team with everyone having a critical role within the organization. I love the support that you receive in this company from both management and your peers.”
She continued, “The support from management is one of the many reasons I choose to work here. I also appreciate that our organization is faith-based and enjoy the many opportunities for career growth.”
Jessica’s favorite Concordia memory is when CVN began expanding their Palliative Care program to her territory.
“The challenges of building a program in our southwestern Pennsylvania service area from the bottom up were actually very rewarding. I was able to experience success from the challenges and witness a very important program develop from an idea to where it is now.”
Jessica spends most of her time outside of Concordia with her two boys, “If I’m not coaching their basketball or baseball teams, I’m busy in the stands cheering them on!”
Like most of us, one of Jessica’s favorite hobbies is Netflix binge-watching! She also enjoys reading and getting outside with her kids, “We love to stay active and be outdoors!”
Jessica told us that she is motivated to succeed by the drive to continue self-improvement.
“I don’t like to settle, and I love to be challenged!”
