My Concordia Career: Jody Parker’s Story

The Concordia Team is comprised of many talented and compassionate employees who have graciously served our mission in a variety of ways – and we are excited for you to meet these fantastic individuals. Let us introduce you to Jody Parker!

Jody began her Concordia career in January of 2017 as an Occupational Therapist for Concordia Visiting Nurses (CVN). She was named the Therapy Manger for CVN’s Baden service area in April of this year. In addition to her new role, Jody continues to see our patients in the field to maintain the one-on-one patient relationship that she appreciates so much!

Jody describes Concordia as “compassionate.” She enjoys working for a faith-based organization that shares her same values.

“I think that Concordia is morally grounded,” Jody said. “We provide service to all of those in need, not just the ones who can afford it – we are here to help everyone.”

Her favorite memory to date is when she attended her first her first Concordia night with the Pittsburgh Pirates.

“I enjoyed spending the evening with fellow therapists and team members outside of the work environment,” she said. “We had a blast!”

Jody spends her time outside of Concordia with family and friends. Her hobbies include yoga, reading and shopping.

Jodysaid she is motivated to succeed by her home healthcare patients.

“Being a part of my patient’s recovery and improvement is very rewarding. My patients definitely motivate me to do my best.”
