My Concordia Career: Kim Kepple’s Story

Kepple Kim

The Concordia Team is comprised of many talented and compassionate employees who have graciously served our mission in a variety of ways – and we are excited for you to meet these fantastic individuals!

Let us introduce you to Kim Kepple, RN, Clinical Director for Concordia Community Support Services (CCSS.) CCSS is our management company that oversees all of our Home & Community based service lines. Kim celebrated her 14th anniversary with Concordia this May and what an awesome career she has had with us so far!

Kim began her career in 2004 as a field RN in Armstrong County for Concordia Visiting Nurses (CVN). To give you a perspective of our growth, at the time, Kim was the sole RN for the entire county – they now have between 8-10 RNs covering the territory on any given day! Kim transitioned into the office after a few years in the field and held the roles of Patient Care Coordinator, Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Manager for CVN prior to her promotion to CCSS Clinical Director.

When asked to describe Concordia in one word, Kim stated, “Fantastic! Concordia is very family oriented and we are a stable, growing company that has afforded me room for advancement within. They are not just an employer – they truly care about the people working for them. I was fairly young when I started with CVN so I feel like I have basically “grown up” with Concordia. I have watched people grow within the company, retire, get married, and have children. My co-workers are like my second family.”

Kim cited her favorite Concordia memory as a very recent one. In September, employees from CCSS teamed up with our friends at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot to help build a dormitory-style house that was delivered to Oklahoma for 18-23-year-old girls who have been in foster care.

“I have seen our organization pull together for others in the past but the house-building mission we did was very humbling. It was inspiring to see what a group of people can do in such a short time for others in need.”

When Kim is not at work or furthering her nursing career (she is currently enrolled in La Roche College’s BSN program), you will find her with family and friends.

“We all like to be outdoors and we do a lot of camping, kayaking, horseback riding, and quad riding together,” she said. “I also love to cook and many of my favorite recipes come from my grandmas and my mother-in-law. I love to make homemade noodles with chicken and gravy, manicotti, and apple pies made fresh from the apples in our orchard.”

Kim said her competitive and driven nature are motivators for success.

“I always like to push myself to my limits, and sometimes beyond, just to see what I’m capable of.”

Her Concordia Family knows what she is capable of, and really, the sky is the limit – we are incredibly blessed to have her on our team!
