My Concordia Career: Kristin Laboda’s Story

Laboda Kristin

The Concordia Team is comprised of many talented and compassionate employees who have graciously served our mission in a variety of ways – and we are excited for you to meet these fantastic individuals. Let us introduce you to Kristin Laboda!

Kristin joined the Concordia family in 2014 as the Private Duty Manager for Concordia Private Care. In April of 2019, Kristin transitioned into her current role as Business Manager for Good Samaritan Hospice.

Kristin describes Concordia as a true “team.”

“Concordia is truly a team effort. Our organization provides a full continuum of care to our patients and residents and there is often several needs to be met from all of our entities. We all work together as a team to ensure that each need of our patients and residents are met with high quality care.”

Concordia’s team approach to delivering high quality care to those we serve is one of the many reasons Kristin chooses to work for us.

“I enjoy being part of a team and coming together to take care of our patients. I also appreciate Concordia’s faith-based emphasis on what we do. I enjoy serving Concordia’s mission. Over the past year and a half, we have extended our mission to local communities with the creation of Concordia Community Support Services’ Missions Committee. It’s great to participate in various servant events with my co-workers.”

Kristin’s favorite memories are captured each year at Concordia’s Annual Christmas party.

“I love attending the Christmas party every year. The majority of Concordia’s Home and Community Services team spend their days out in the field, so it’s great to have the opportunity to visit with them outside of work. Overall, the Christmas party is a fun event and I enjoy seeing everyone there.”

Kristin enjoys spending her free time with her family. She and her husband, Tony, have two children – Grace, 10, and Luke, who is 11. The family has two cats and a new puppy, who Kristin said, “keeps us on our toes!”

Her favorite hobbies are watching movies with her family, reading, playing the piano and listening to music.

When we asked Kristin what motivates her to succeed, she said, “The feeling of accomplishment I get when I see a project completed.”
