My Concordia Career: Mena Louies’ Story

The Concordia Team is comprised of many talented and compassionate employees who have graciously served our mission in a variety of ways – and we are excited for you to meet these fantastic individuals. Let us introduce you to Mena Louies!

Mena Louies is the Executive Director for Concordia Hospice of Washington (CHOW). He began his Concordia career in September of 2018 and oversees the operations for CHOW’s home-based hospice care as well as the Donnell House inpatient unit.

Mena describes Concordia as a “mission” and elaborated on why he chooses to work for our organization.

“Concordia is one of the few companies that I have come across that I can truly say is driven by its mission. Our team is comprised of amazing people who carry out our mission daily to those we serve. Also, the organization gives back in various ways and I am thankful for the opportunity to make a positive impact on our greater community.”

Mena spends his time outside of Concordia with his wife and daughter. They are all explorers and enjoy finding new adventures in the Pittsburgh region! If he’s not out exploring, you will likely catch Mena on the slopes skiing, on the course golfing or in a chair reading non-fiction history books.

Mena stated that he is motivated by the success and growth of his team.

“Watching the growth and development of my program and the team members who work within it is tremendous. I’m motivated that I get to play a small part during this exciting time that we are currently experiencing at Concordia Hospice of Washington.”
