The Concordia Team is comprised of many talented and compassionate employees who have graciously served our mission in a variety of ways – and we are excited for you to meet these fantastic individuals. Let us introduce you to Rebecca Aul!

Rebecca began her Concordia career in December of 2013 as an evening nurse for Concordia at Rebecca Residence where she worked for a little over a year. In July of 2015, Rebecca was promoted to Clinical Nurse Manager for Concordia of the South Hills (CSH) and retained that position until her recent promotion of Director of Nursing for CSH in April of 2018.

When we asked Rebecca to sum up Concordia in one word, she said “family” and provided some insight to what makes us a family, and also why she chooses to work for us:

“Concordia has become my home away from home. I have made meaningful relationships with co-workers, staff, and residents. I appreciate the value Concordia places on our individual team members – this shows in many ways including a weeklong appreciation celebration, but also in an everyday sense of a positive environment to work in.”

Rebecca continued, “Every day we help our residents, patients, and those who we consider family within our organization, but we often help our extended family out in our local communities. Concordia places high quality care and a commitment to our values and mission above everything, and it is very rewarding to work in a positive, dedicated environment.”

Rebecca’s favorite memory was when she and her Concordia family went to “The Break Room” for a stress-relieving/team building activity:

“A nursing manager surprised us with a trip to The Break Room after a very stressful week. I have never heard of such a place, but it was a great idea. You basically go into a room, wear protective gear, and break/smash items with your choice of a destructive tool. It was a great idea to spend time with each other and distress while doing a fun activity.”

Rebecca spends her free time with family, friends and animals. She has many animals who she loves! Currently, Rebecca has two dogs, two cats, two water dragons and two bearded dragons!

Rebecca said that her family is her main motivator:

“My family motivates me to succeed every day. At a young age, my parents instilled in me the idea of hard work and because of this I have been able to watch my dreams come true.”
