The health and well-being of our patients, residents and team members is our number one priority. Despite many of the counties in which we operate beginning to re-open, per the Departments of Health, Concordia is still operating under a no visitation policy, except for patients/residents in end-of-life situations. However, those wishing to see their loved ones can schedule time with them at one of our safe visitation areas. Please call your loved one's facility for more information. My Concordia Career: Samantha Morrison’s Story

July 9, 2020

The Concordia Team is comprised of many talented and compassionate employees who have graciously served our mission in a variety of ways – and we are excited for you to meet these fantastic individuals. Let us introduce you to Samantha Morrison!

Sam Morrison 1Samantha joined the Concordia family as an afternoon shift Nurse Aide at Concordia at Rebecca Residence in August of 2017. She has since transitioned into the role of a daylight shift Med Tech.

Samantha describes Concordia as “dedicated” and further elaborated about how dedication plays a huge role in serving our residents.

“There are so many people who work for Concordia who truly put all of the needs of each and every resident first. Everyone is there working towards one goal and that is to make sure that all of our residents stay comfortable.”

She told us she had many reasons for choosing to work for Concordia and focused in on her top three.

“I knew how well-known Concordia was and that it would be a great company to begin my career in the medical field. I was recommended by a very good friend who has worked at Concordia for over 15 years and always spoke so highly of the company. From my own personal experience, my great grandma was at Concordia in her final days and had the best care.”

Samantha told us her favorite Concordia memory was bonding with one of her residents, who she said “become my best friend and family.”

When she’s not at work, you’ll likely to find Samantha hanging out with her boyfriend and their 3-year old Yorkie along with her niece and nephew (“they are my world!”). She has many hobbies including baking, cooking, binging Netflix and camping.

Samantha said that her boyfriend and family are her main motivations to succeed.

“I would like to be able to provide as much as possible for my boyfriend and our future family. My parents and grandparents have done so much for me that I would like to be able to do so much for them in return.”

We’d love to hear your future story! Find your next career by visiting www.concordiacareers.org.
