Volunteers Touch Thousands of Lives at Concordia | PHOTOS

“Feed the hungry and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon.” – Isaiah 58:10

Service to others is an ongoing theme in the Bible. Since shortly after the creation of man, people have been propping each other up in times of need – feeding the hungry, clothing the poor, providing shelter for the homeless, healing the afflicted and so much more. Generally speaking, lending neighbors a helping hand. (Read more for photos)

With April being National Volunteer Month, many Concordia locations and organizations have been hosting volunteer appreciation activities. These events, as thoughtful as they are – usually a simple lunch and gift – will never adequately convey how much our hundreds of volunteers mean to us and those in our care.

Our volunteer’s helping hands bring joy to more people than we ever could have reached without them, so to all of our wonderful volunteers, thank you so much for your dedication and commitment to helping Concordia serve others. We thank God for every one of you.

April may be National Volunteer Month, but that doesn’t mean we don’t need some helping hands the rest of the year! If you or someone you know would like to join Concordia’s growing family of volunteers,  message the Concordia location of your choice through the Contact form on our website and ask how you can help.
