Entertainment based on a “Goin’ Country” theme includes the Black Horse Band and the Texas Road House Mascot as well as Concordia’s House Band. Kids 12 and under are entitled to three free tickets and can enter a fishing derby from noon until 3 p.m. The Kids Corner will be open in the Gazebo featuring face painting, crafts, games and a bouncy house beginning at noon until 6.
Our chef has created a menu featuring entrees – Bronco BBQ Chicken leg quarter, Hickory Smoked Beef Brisket topped with onion petals, Texas style beef chili served in a bread bowl topped with cheddar cheese and Midwest BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich at $7 including two sides, dessert and a beverage. Sides are corn, fresh fruit, mac n’ cheese, campfire beans, cornbread with honey butter and desserts are homemade cobbler and Texas sheet cake. The Quick Tent items – Smokehouse grilled chicken breast sandwich with BBQ sauce, bacon and cheddar, Longhorn hamburger, hot dogs, chicken tenders, onion petals - are $2.
As previously announced, our worship service begins at 3 p.m. with Rev. Barry Keurulainen, Senior Pastor, St. Luke Lutheran Church and School in Cabot as our guest preacher. Pastor Barry is also a director for Concordia’s parent board and chairman of its Mission and Ministry committee.
