Concordia Adds New Position as Health Coach

Cabot, PA - Ellen Cyphers, RD, LDN of Wexford, PA  has been named Health Coach at Concordia Lutheran Ministries announced Keith E. Frndak, President and CEO.

Ellen earned a BS in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Pittsburgh in 1999 and is currently enrolled at Kansas State University in a Masters Program focused on Food Science.  She will be working closely with many of the organization's employees supporting them in their endeavors to make healthy lifestyle changes through diet, exercise and smoking cessation.

Ellen comes to us with over 12 years of experience in the area of dietetics and disease management.   Attracted to Concordia because of its reputation, Ellen says she is looking forward to be a part of the supportive and involved staff.

She and her husband, Bob have adopted a rescue dog from Butler County Humane Society.  Ellen is also interested in the Marital Arts and is enrolled in a Tae Kwon Do class.

As an enhancement to Concordia's health and wellness program, Ellen will guide employees throughout the system to address their health and, if necessary, make behavioral changes to improve health. "Like traditional coaching," says Frndak, commenting on this new position for the Concordia system, "health coaches utilize goal setting, identification of obstacles, and use of personal support systems.
