Concordia Adds New Position at Good Samaritan Hospice

Jefferson Twp., PA – Jamie Burke of Prospect has been named Director of Operations at Concordia’s Good Samaritan Hospice (GSH).

Burke has been a unit manager for GSH since 2012 having served as a critical care nurse in the Butler Memorial Hospital ICU for 12 years.   She is a graduate of West Penn Hospital School of Nursing.  A certified hospice and palliative nurse, she is also ACLS certified. Currently, she is enrolled in the masters degree in nursing program at Robert Morris University.

She believes that the face of hospice care is changing and our patients are more acute than ever. “With my many years of ICU training, I am able to teach critical thinking skills and have the knowledge base that is necessary to successfully treat and manage today’s hospice patients.”

“The capability and knowledge Jamie brought to our organization is exceptional,” says Frndak. “We are pleased to promote her to this new position,” said Keith E. Frndak, President and CEO, Concordia Lutheran Ministries.

She has three daughters - Hannah, a nursing student at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and  Makenzie and Olivia, students at Slippery Rock High School and enjoys boating, water skiing, tubing and camping with them and her fiancé, Keith Gallagher.
