Concordia at the Orchard Hosts Ten-Year Anniversary Event

Center Twp., Pa.— Concordia at the Orchard in Center Twp. will celebrate a decade of service to the community on Thursday, June 13 from 6 - 8 p.m. in conjunction with the kick-off of this year's Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival.

Concordia created a Bantam Jeep and will display it at the anniversary event. In addition, Caterina Renda, a singer from Pittsburgh, will provide musical entertainment; Concordia Visiting Nurses and Good Samaritan Hospice staff will provide blood pressure screenings and tours of the facility will be available.  

Staff who have worked at the facility for ten or more years include -  
Becky Fuechslin, resident service/med tech; Kathy McCune, housekeeper; Sally Fleeger, laundry aid/housekeeping; Jan Elliott, hairstylist; Janis Honse, food service and Marilyn Catalfano, office manager.  All are residents of Butler.

Seven residents have lived at Concordia at the Orchard since 2003. They are October Lowe, Kathleen Oden, Viola Ketterer, Ethel McPherson, Gloria Barrett, Ruth Tyborowski and Zelma Stamm. Ethel McPherson is 100 and Viola Ketterer will be 102 on June 13.
 
Concordia at the Orchard, a part of Concordia Lutheran Ministries CARF-CCAC accredited Aging Services Network, is a 60-bed personal care center located on 40 acres in northern Butler County, across from the Clearview Mall.
