Concordia Haven III Residents Celebrate a Decade of Retirement Living

Cabot, PA - In October of 2001, the third of three retirement living facilities opened on the Cabot campus of Concordia Lutheran Ministries.  The building was named Haven III and has served as home to hundreds of people throughout the last decade.  The 102-unit apartment building was designed by Ed Long, built by Uhl Construction on 156, 000 sq. ft.

Currently 135 residents live in Haven III with an average age of 84.  Forty-six of those moved in ten years ago.

In this, Concordia's 130th Anniversary Year, it is an honor to recognize Concordia Haven III and the lives that have been touched since its establishment.

Keith E. Frndak, President and Chief Executive Officer, proclaims October 20, 2011 as Haven III Day at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot campus.  "I encourage all of our family to honor our Haven III residents, especially Leona Zitzman, the first resident who to live in Haven III since its beginning and to publicly reaffirm our thanks for the blessing of retirement living."

According to Larry Talmadge, Vice President for Retirement Living, residents will enjoy a day of entertainment and food, compliments of Concordia.
