Concordia Havens Host Entertainment Open to the Public in March

Jefferson Twp., PA - The community is invited to two events in March planned by the independent living activities department.  

America's longest-running multicultural song and dance company, the Duquesne University Tamburitzans will perform at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 16 in the Haven I Dining Room located at 112 Marwood Road in Cabot (Entrance 2A) on the Concordia Lutheran Ministries campus. Advance tickets are $10; call Donna Heintz at 724/352-1571, ext. 8251. A limited number of tickets may be sold at the door for $15, if space is available. The Tamburitzans is a unique ensemble of talented young folk artists dedicated to the performance and preservation of the music, songs and dances of Eastern Europe.

KDKA-AM radio 1020's Dr. Knowledge will share his encyclopedic colleciton of stories and trivia on Thursday, March 21 a 7 p.m. in the Haven II Chapel located at 148 Marwood Road (Entrance 5). Dr. Knowledge is weekend overnight personality Charles Reichblum who has been hosting the late night call-in program Friday and Saturday at midnight on KDKA since 2004. Last year the show went national in 30 markets. Admission is free and the public is welcome.
