Concordia Havens Offer Life Long Learning Classes to the Public

Jefferson Twp., Pa. – If you are retirement age with an interest in learning, you are invited to attend any of the classes being scheduled for 2018 through Concordia Institute for Lifelong Learning in cooperation with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Pittsburgh.  

Please call activities coordinator Chantelle Sweeney at 724-352-1571, ext. 8251 for the course catalog by January 10.  

Some of the courses are free like those in collaboration with the Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania. William Penn, Pigeons & People, Maple Sugaring  are some of the titles of the 12 topics the instructor Ryan Stauffer provides. Cooking with Georgia charges a nominal fee of $10 for each session and spotlights Presidential Cookies, Puff the Magic Pastry, Apple of My Eyes and three additional demonstrations. Other courses include iPad, Memory, Prescription Drugs, Exercise, Health Balance, Stories of Butler and Lyndora.  

In addition Concordia is partnered with Healthways SilverSneakers to provide yoga and the cardio classic fitness classes as well as monthly Health Chats on various topics.
