Concordia Hires Assistant Administrator
Cabot, PA - Natalie McKay of Center Township has been named assistant administrator for the Skilled Nursing and Short-term Rehab Center at Concordia Lutheran Ministries announced Charlene Kline, Vice President.
Natalie earned a BS in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh in 2001 and Masters in Health Administration from the University of Iowa two years later and has worked in long-term care for 10 years. She is licensed as a Nursing Home Administrator (NHA). Her primary areas of responsibility include assisting in all areas of skilled nursing and rehab operations with a primary focus on quality of care, resident/patient customer relations, housekeeping, activities, and laundry services.
Attracted to a faith-based, non-profit CCRC environment with a tremendous reputation for quality care, Natalie says she has always had an interest in working with the elderly. "I spent a great deal of time with my grandmother and her retirement community as a child, so I'm very comfortable with people who need assistance," she says and continues, "I volunteered in a nursing home through college and started working as an aide while in grad school."
She and her husband are natives of Butler County and have adopted five pets from various local animal rescue shelters. They are members of St. Andrew United Presbyterian Church.
The Concordia approach to skilled nursing care is not only family-focused, but team-oriented as well. Our nursing staff works collaboratively with physicians, therapists, social services and most importantly the patient and his/her family to develop a customized care plan. We offer 136 private rooms. Physical and Occupational Therapy gyms offer state-of-the-art equipment in conjunction to one-on-one, hands-on therapy treatment. Our goal is to motivate, support and increase the overall functioning of each patient.
From a holistic health standpoint, Concordia at Cabot's activities, spiritual care and nutrition/food service programs help those in our care live fuller, more enjoyable lives. Cable TV service is provided in every room and many areas are equipped with free Wi-Fi Internet capabilities.
