Concordia Institute for Lifelong Learning Hosts a "Meet the Instructor" Reception

Cabot, PA - The community is invited to a "Meet Our Instructors" Reception on Sunday, November 4 from 2 - 3 p.m. in the Concordia Haven I Dining Room.

Three years ago, Concordia Haven Apartments aided by the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Pittsburgh, established a continuing education program and titled it Concordia Institute for Lifelong Learning.  In preparation for registration for the Winter semester, the Institute's Advisory Committee will host the event to introduce potential students to their instructors.

All who attend will have the opportunity to meet Georgia Stewart who loves to share her cooking secrets; Norma Laughner, an independent living resident and former English professor at Slippery Rock University teaching creative writing; Dr. Harold Schnaible, an accomplished pianist and organist conducting A Survey of Christian Hymnody; Heidi Tracy demonstrating ballroom dancing.

At the same time Concordia Haven Apartments will host an open house event at Haven I (112 Marwood Rd., entrance 2A).

The event is free and open to the community. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to tour the building and learn about retirement communities. Refreshments will be served.
