Concordia Institute for Lifelong Learning Invites Retirees to “Go Back to School”

Jefferson Twp., PA – If you are retirement age with an interest in learning, you are invited to register for our Concordia Institute for Lifelong Learning classes for 2017 by January 4.

Seven years ago, Concordia Haven Apartments aided by the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Pittsburgh, established a continuing education program and titled it Concordia Institute for Lifelong Learning. 

Courses include “Cooking with Georgia” which features six monthly hour and a half sessions focused on such topics as the Language of Flowers Tea, Love My Grains and Good Morning Meals. Each session is $10. There is the local history series of three classes culminating into a field trip at the Saxonburg Museum or a presentation on Mail Fraud. If you like crafts, one of our residents will teach you how to make a wreath or a Fairy Garden.  Learn how to use an iPad.  Take a Wine Tasting Tour. Concordia will host the Audubon Society for 11 classes. A Seniors for Safe Driving and Health & Wellness courses in addition to the well-known Silver Sneakers program and Butler’s Butterfly Lady are also part of the course catalog.
