According to Pew Research Center:
- Social networking use among internet users ages 50 and older has nearly doubled -- from 22% to 42% over the past year.
- Half (47%) of internet users ages 50-64 and one-in-four (26%) users ages 65 and older now use social networking sites.
"As more and more people use the Internet and social networking websites to get information, Concordia has an opportunity to 'serve our aging community' (part of the Concordia mission statement) in new and creative ways," said Shirley Freyer, director of public relations at Concordia.
The simplest way to access Concordia's social networking sites is through the "News" page on the organization's website - go to www.concordialm.org and click on the "News" link on the left. Links to the social networking sites can be found from there.
