Concordia of the South Hills Hires/Promotes Several Administrative Staff Members
Cabot, PA - Concordia of the South Hills (CSH) CEO Brian Hortert recently announced the appointments of Human Resources Manager Monica Y. Layton and Payroll Specialist Vicky Henning. He also promoted Tony LaVecchia to Director of Plant Operations and Sarah Eckert to Director of Nursing.
Layton comes to Concordia with 20 years experience in the senior care industry. Her responsibilities are to oversee the entire human resources function at CSH, including policies, employee data, hiring and training.
A resident of Pittsburgh, Layton enjoys collecting contemporary Afro-centric figurines, flower gardening and bowling.
Henning comes to Concordia with 20 years in payroll and human resources management. She earned her Bachelor of Science in human resource management from Point Park University and an Associate of Science in business administration from Duff's Business Institute.
Henning lives in Baldwin, enjoys cooking and hopes to visit Ireland someday.
LaVecchia, who has worked at the location since June 2009, has been in and around the construction and maintenance industry his entire life since his father worked as a general contractor. His duties are to oversee the physical responsibilities of the campus, including maintenance, housekeeping and security.
He lives in Canonsburg with his wife and has five children ranging from 19 months to 22 years.
Eckert has worked at the location since it opened in 2001, and for 10 years prior to that at another senior care organization. Her responsibilities include overseeing the daily operations at the CSH Health Center, managing the nursing department and auditing/improving policies, among other things.
A graduate of the Community College of Allegheny County's nursing program, Eckert is a member at St. Thomas Moore Roman Catholic Church. She lives in Bethel Park with her husband Richard and two children: Macey, 9 and Ricky, 11.
