Concordia of the South Hills Resident Turns 100

Mt. Lebanon, PA – Concordia of the South Hills resident Alice Bower Pasquarelli celebrates her 100th  birthday on May 22. Alice is the oldest resident living in any of the three of Concordia’s retirement communities.

Born in Bellevue, she married the late Anthony Pasquarelli on September 23, 1939 who was a well-known musician in the Pittsburgh area.  He played the trumpet and taught music at Carnegie Mellon University.

She and her daughter Terry McDonald moved from Mt. Lebanon to Concordia in January of 2012. She has another daughter, Suzette Foster who resides in McMurray, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Prior to her marriage, Alice did some modeling. She is an avid reader, enjoys music and participated in Concordia’s watercolor painting classes.

A member of Bower Hill Community Church, Alice credits her longevity to her diet sans vegetables.
