Concordia Professionals Present Better Living Series at the Library

Jefferson Twp., PA – Concordia Lutheran Ministries joins South Butler Community Library to present a series of educational programs every Friday in May at 11 a.m. at the Library located at 240 W. Main Street in Saxonburg.

Speakers are professionals from Concordia at Cabot. On May 12, Manager for Concordia Private Care Kristin Laboda will address ways one can extend quality of life and independence through technology and supportive services. Ruth Douthett, dietetic technician, registered, on May 19 will provide information on what kind of diet can contribute to living a healthier lifestyle in her topic titled “Stay Well with Nutrition as You Grow Older.” Registered dietician Natalie Kolish, will discuss “brain healthy” diets that could help reduce one’s risk for developing dementia or Alzheimer’s Disease on May 26. She calls it “Boost Your Memory Power with Nutrition.”

The series begins on May 5 with Roxann Tyger, a professional organizer and certified estate liquidator who will tell those in attendance “How to Sell Your Stuff.”

The Better Living series is free to all residents in the Library’s service area which includes Buffalo Township, Clinton Township, Jefferson Township, Saxonburg Borough, Penn Township, and Winfield Township. No registration is required.
