Concordia Resident Turns 100

Cheswick, PA - Concordia resident Louise Harned Garrison celebrated her 100th birthday yesterday at a party with her nieces and nephews in Lund Care Center on the Cabot campus.

The former Louise Harned was born on October 1, 1912. She was married to the late Lynn Garrison. She had one daughter, Marilyn Goldstrom who passed away in 1999. She also has two married grandsons, Mike who lives in Phoenix and Mark of Las Vegas and two great-grandsons.

Garrison taught fourth grade for 40 years in Natrona Heights. She moved to Haven I in May of 1999.

She was a great reader and loved dogs. Her nephew, William Miller of Lancaster remembers how all of the nieces and nephews loved to come home and see Aunt Louise.  "She was the most positive person you would ever want to meet.  She loved to tell jokes, laugh and have fun," he said.
