Concordia Speakers Bureau Presents at People’s Library of New Kensington

Jefferson Twp., PA – Two Concordia staff members will present a program on how to “Boost Your Memory Power” at the Lower Burrell branch of the People’s Library of New Kensington on Wednesday, May 14 from 3:30 – 5 p.m.

Concordia Dietetic Technician Ruth Douthett will discuss “Good Brain Nutrition is A Memory Booster.” According to her, one in every seven older Americans has some form of dementia. Certain nutrients are essential to human brain function. There is a definite relationship between food and how our brain works.  

Melissa Weichey, Manager, Concordia Adult Day Services will provide some “Tips and Exercises to Sharpen Your Mind and Boost Brainpower.” She says the human brain has an astonishing ability to adapt and change.    

Join them to learn how you reduce your risk for developing dementia or Alzheimer’s.
