McCreary comes to Concordia with 30 years of experience in various clinical settings. Most recently she served as Regional Clinical Informaticist for Community Health Systems in Franklin, Tenn. Prior to that position, she was promoted from Branch Manager to Clinical Informatics Director at Concordia Visiting Nurses.
“Karen’s years of experience and dedication in healthcare will be a valuable tool as she fills this extremely important role for CVN,” Trettel said. “We look forward to this new chapter in our history.
A graduate of the former Citizens General Hospital School of Nursing, she earned her B.S. in nursing from the University of Phoenix.
“I am excited to be back with Concordia Visiting Nurses and honored to collaborate with its dedicated team of professionals,” McCreary said.
McCreary is a resident of Butler and is married and has two children. She enjoys golfing, camping and reading.
Concordia Visiting Nurses has served western Pa. since 1997, expanding its reach into 10 counties. The organization employs nearly 400 and served approximately 12,600 people last year.
Concordia Visiting Nurses is part of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, a faith-based, CARF-CCAC-accredited Aging Services Network and recipient of the inaugural Pennsylvania Department of Aging Excellence in Quality Care Award. The organization has been in operation for over 130 years.
