Concordia Visiting Nurses Appoints Specialty Pulmonary Medical Director
Jefferson Twp., PA – Concordia Visiting Nurses (CVN) President & CEO Martin Trettel recently announced the addition of Lewis R. Kline, M.D., A.B.S.M. as Medical Director for the organization’s Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program.
Dr. Kline comes to CVN with nearly 30 years experience specializing in pulmonary diseases. He is a graduate of Penn State University School of Medicine and has worked for several top institutions, including Temple University and University of Pittsburgh Schools of Medicine. He also helped establish the Center for Sleep Disorders in Philadelphia.
Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Subspecialty of Pulmonary Diseases, and American Board of Sleep Medicine, Dr. Kline has presented at many national meetings and been featured in a number of local and national radio and TV programs regarding sleep disorders. He is also Medical Director of Sleep Medicine at Western Pennsylvania Hospital, Butler Memorial Hospital, Allegheny Valley Hospital, and Lifeline Sleep Disorders Centers.
Concordia’s home-based Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program focuses on restoring patients to their highest functional respiratory capacity. With the help of the program, individuals who have a pulmonary diagnosis and are eligible to receive home healthcare can experience decreased respiratory symptoms and complications, improved tolerance for physical activity and reduced hospitalizations.
Components of the Concordia Pulmonary Rehab Program include medical management, Telehealth monitoring, education, breathing retraining, psychosocial and nutritional support, physical and occupational therapy and more.
