Concordia Visiting Nurses (CVN) Names Tammy Young Chief Financial Officer

Cabot, PA – Tammy Young of Saxonburg has been named Concordia Visiting Nurses Chief Financial Officer according to Martin J. Trettel, CEO.

Young has been an integral part of the CVN team since December 2009 when she was appointed Accounting Manager.  She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Robert Morris University and earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Slippery Rock University.

Prior to joining CVN, she worked in public accounting for Ruzomberka, Holland, Renk, Smith in Sewickley for seven years where she served as manager for tax, payroll, bookkeeping and compilation clients in addition to managing retirement plan services for the firm.

“Tammy’s extensive agency experience coupled with her highly regarded academic achievements will allow a smooth transition,” said Trettel.  “Her devotion to her family, her church and to CVN embodies the core of our mission and we look forward to her continued dedicated service,” he added.

Her faith action verse, Young said, is James 2:17 - faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead, and further explains, “This verse creates passion within me to serve, to share His love that I have been so graciously blessed with each day.”

A member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot, she currently serves as Treasurer. She and her family serve at Katie’s Kitchen, Good Samaritan Hospice of Pittsburgh,
Butler County Humane Society and various other charities.

She and husband, Jason have one daughter, Aleah.

She replaces Bill Giallombardo of Butler, who retired from his position having served Concordia for nearly 13 years.
