The festival includes activities for kids, musical entertainment, delicious, picnic-themed food, an open house of our facilities and a traditional worship service at 4 p.m. The worship service will be led by Rev. Dr. Douglas Spittel, Senior Pastor at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Shadyside and Member of the CLM Board of Directors. It will also include a choir of Concordia employees.
The entertainment includes the River City Brass band and more TBA. The River City Brass band is a highly respected 28 member band founded in 1981 and based in Pittsburgh. They are renowned in the Pittsburgh region as well as nationally and internationally.
The Kids Area is open for the entire event. Activities for children include a Fishing Derby (from 12:30 until 3 p.m.), a caricature artist, face painting and a bounce house, a rock climbing wall, a miniature golf putting green, crafts and games. In addition, there will be gift bags and frozen treats for all children. Kids 12 and under will receive $3 vouchers for food in the Quick Tent.
