Concordia Summer Festival 2021

Concordia Lutheran Ministries will hold its 140th Annual Summer Festival on Sunday, July 25 from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Lund Care Center back yard on the Cabot campus, located at 134 Marwood Rd., Cabot, PA 16023. Click here for Google Maps directions.

All are invited to relive the sounds of the ’50s, ‘60s and ‘70s with The Pittsburgh Doo Wop Big Band, our featured entertainment from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. on stage in the big tent. Under the direction of Richard Mansfield, former conductor of the American Soundtrack Series on PBS, the orchestra includes vocalists Bill Reichert and Laura “Rose” Rozday.

A Fishing Derby for kids 12 and under will highlight children’s activities beginning at 12:30 p.m., and there will be crafts and games to keep the kids busy all day at the gazebo on campus. Kids are also entitled to a free drink and food item in our Quick Tent, like burgers, hot dogs and chicken tenders.

An Open House will be held from 1 – 3 p.m. at Haven I (112 Marwood Rd., Cabot, PA 16023) to tour our retirement living community on the Cabot campus. A car cruise of local models will be also be held from 12:30 – 3 p.m. in the Lund back yard. The 4 p.m. worship service will be led by Concordia Director of Chaplaincy Services Rev. Jack Hartman, who has worked at the organization for nearly 24 years.

Our chef has created a delicious menu featuring popular summer picnic entrees – Rotisserie-style bone-in chicken breast, BBQ pulled pork sandwich, smoked brisket platter, hamburger or hot dog. Dinners are $9 and include two sides, dessert and a beverage. The Quick Tent will offer burgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders and grilled chicken breast sandwiches for $2.50 each.

The entire event is open to the public, and admission and parking are free. For more information, contact Public Relations at 724-352-1571, ext. 8268.
