GSH to Host Grief Support Group at Butler Memorial Hospital

Butler, Pa. – Good Samaritan Hospice, a mission of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, will host a grief support group at Butler Health System’s Butler Memorial Hospital. The group is open to the public and will meet every other Tuesday evening from Oct. 13 to Dec. 22 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Group participants should use the Hospital’s Brady Street entrance and go to Phillips Hall on the third floor (3-s).

The group will focus on a different aspect of grieving at every session: living with grief (Oct. 13), the journey of grief (Oct. 27), the effects of grief (Nov. 10), grieving the death of a spouse (Nov. 24), the specific challenges of holiday grief (Dec. 8) and the uniqueness of grief (Dec. 22). Each session will include a DVD presentation on grief issues, a group discussion and support.

For more information about the Good Samaritan Hospice’s grief support group, contact Chaplain Paul Rist or Roni Lucas at 1-800-720-2557.
