The health and well-being of our patients, residents and team members is our number one priority. Despite many of the counties in which we operate beginning to re-open, per the Departments of Health, Concordia is still operating under a no visitation policy, except for patients/residents in end-of-life situations. However, those wishing to see their loved ones can schedule time with them at one of our safe visitation areas. Please call your loved one's facility for more information. For information regarding Concordia’s coronavirus precautions and cases, please click here. We have also began publishing regular video devotions from our Chaplains. Good Samaritan Hospice Butterfly Release (2019)

The 3rd Annual Good Samaritan Hospice Butterfly Release will be held Saturday, August 24, 2019 from 2 – 4 p.m. at Concordia at Villa St. Joseph Campus (NEW LOCATION FOR 2019!), located at 1030 W State St, Baden, PA 15005. This event is open for anyone who wants to honor and celebrate the memory of their loved ones. Children are welcome!

Participants are asked to reserve a live butterfly in advance for $10 each, and there will also be a limited number of butterflies available to purchase on-site the day of the event. All proceeds will benefit Good Samaritan Hospice and our mission of caring for those we love facing a life-limiting illness or preparing to pass into God’s Glory. Click here for Google Maps directions.

The program will begin with a brief prayer service and dedication, followed by choral and musical performances. Participants will then release their butterflies into the sky as a representation of “letting go” their loved ones into the hearts and hands of God.

Click here to register for the event, volunteer, or find out more information, volunteer, or find out more information. Or call the Concordia Lutheran Ministries Foundation office at 724-352-1571, ext. 8355. Walk-ups welcome, but pre-registration is highly encouraged by July 10 to guarantee a butterfly.

Many hundreds of individuals and their families are touched each year by the physical, emotional and spiritual end-of-life care Good Samaritan Hospice provides. We help patients make choices about their care and provide support for friends and families who are grieving.

We hope that you will join us for this beautiful and spiritually uplifting event on Saturday, August 24.
