Brian has served Concordia for the last 14 years in various leadership roles, the most recent as CEO of Concordia Lutheran Ministries of Pittsburgh and Vice President for Personal Care (PC).
In his new role he will have oversight for all Pennsylvania-based facility operations. Since he is dual-licensed in both personal care and nursing home administration, he is well-prepared for this promotion. Currently he is conducting the turn-around at our newest acquisition in Monroeville.
“Brian has been a trusted and caring professional and I have depended on him for guidance and discernment especially in the area of personal care,” said Keith. “Please join me in congratulating him on this well-served promotion.”
Brian began his career in the area of personal care/assisted living in 1986 and arrived at Concordia in 2001 as Director of Assisted Living. He led on-site operations for each of our acquisitions beginning in 2003 with Concordia at Ridgewood, and served in the same capacity at Concordia at the Orchard, Concordia at Rebecca Residence for a year, Concordia of the South Hills as well as the stand-alone PC locations at Fox Chapel, Cranberry, Franklin Park and Wexford. He sat on the startup boards for Good Samaritan Hospice, Concordia Medical Equipment and Providence Pharmacy.
Pennsylvania facilities include 453 retirement living apartments, 938 personal care (which includes 73 dual licensed for memory support) and 332 skilled nursing or a total of 1,723 total units.
“I would like to thank Mr. Frndak and the Board of Directors for having faith in me and look forward to growing our mission,” said Hortert
