Several Tables Remain for Concordia's Fashion Show at Butler Country Club

Cabot, PA - Concordia Lutheran Ministries will host its sixth annual Fashion Show on Saturday, May 14 at the Butler Country Club, with all proceeds benefiting the Good Samaritan Endowment Fund, Concordia's charity care fund.

The event, which starts at 10 a.m., will have a Spring's a Poppin' theme. Tickets are $35 and include a hot lunch, valet parking, the fashion show and six free basket auction tickets. Attendees can also purchase $5 mystery bags, tickets for the basket auction, clothes, purses, jewelry, notes and more. Fashions by Phyllis, a clothing retailer with a retail shop in Meadowland, will provide the fashions for the day.

Interested groups can sponsor the event with an advertisement in the program book. A limited number of vendor tables are also available for $20, plus 20 percent of the day's proceeds. Last year's event hosted close to 300 people.

The Good Samaritan Endowment Fund provides Concordia with additional funds to support residents with depleted resources. This fund was established in the early 1990s and has since helped hundreds of people meet the expense of the quality health-related services at Concordia.

Concordia cares for many residents each year who do not have sufficient resources to pay for the full cost of their care. In skilled nursing, the Pennsylvania Medical Assistance Program pays for most, but not all, of the care of residents without funds. In assisted living, however, there are no government programs to make up the shortfall between residents' resources and the cost of care.
